🌳 Together for Mother Earth: The Joyful Giver’s Tree Planting Project 🌳
Last August 20, 2024, we took a big step toward healing the planet with our Tree Planting Activity at La Mesa Dam. It was more than just planting 300 Narra seedlings—it was about planting hope, resilience, and a future where our children can thrive. With floods becoming more frequent in the Philippines, it’s clear that we must ACT NOW. And together, we can make a difference.
I am deeply moved by the incredible support from everyone who came together for this cause. What started as a dream to give back to Mother Earth has grown into a movement fueled by the love and dedication of so many.
A special thank you to our amazing partners:
▫️The 11th Civil Military Operations Kaugnayan Battalion, led by LTC Gene R. Orense (GSC) INF, for sending troops to help us.
▫️Rotary Club of Makati Ayala West, for their support and for providing food to keep our volunteers energized.
▫️Police Lieutenant Dan Mcgill L. Sison and his team, for their presence and unwavering encouragement.
▫️Pranic Healing Association of the Philippines Inc., for blessing the event with meditation and prayers for Mother Earth and our seedlings.
▫️KOOLTEK Philippines Inc., for handling logistics, providing water, and ensuring everyone was well-fed with delicious vegetarian meals.
▫️Alpas Mental Health Community, led by Marry Fernandez, for their support and advocacy.
▫️Doctora Chinny Kwan, for standing by as our volunteer doctor, ready to assist if needed.
▫️And to my loving husband, LTC Marvin Inocencio, for supporting me every step of the way.
We are also so grateful to The Joyful Giver’s close friends who supported our Sponsor a Tree Program:
• Susan “Tantan” Cornelio of GT Capital
• Charleen Ann “Shasha” Limso
• Major Roda Leoncito of the AFP
• Salome Uy
• Mylene Villena from DILG (also a member of the PMA Class 2004 Maliyab Ladies)
This project reminded me of the power of community and how God’s perfect timing always brings the right people together. What started as a small family initiative has blossomed into something bigger than we ever imagined. With every tree we planted, we were reminded that even small acts can lead to great changes.
As I stood there with our volunteers—friends, family, and strangers united by a shared purpose—I felt so much gratitude for the opportunity to serve. Every seedling we planted symbolizes hope for a greener, safer, and more sustainable future.
To everyone who joined us, prayed for us, or supported us from afar: THANK YOU. Your kindness and commitment to this mission are gifts to our planet and the generations to come.
Together, we are making a difference—one tree at a time, one act of love at a time. All for God’s glory. Let’s continue to care for our planet and inspire others to do the same. 🌏✨
With love and hope,
The Joyful Giver® ❤️
